Transport of animals

When you book your ticket please specify that you plan to travel with your pet. The airline will inform you about the conditions and formalities required (documents, fees, etc.).

Travelling with children:

Travelling with very young children? Tirgu-Mures Transylvania Airport offers you a mother and child room inside the international departures terminal. The room can be used for changing diapers and nursing babies. This service is free of charge.

You can request this service at the airport information office or through handling agents responsible for travel formalities.

Many states restrict minors travelling abroad, if they are not accompanied by parents or legal guardians or if their parents or guardians did not give consent.
In Romania, the applicable legislation is Law no. 248/2005 on the free movement of Romanian citizens abroad.

Healthcare and emergency medical professionals respond promptly to any emergency call. In an emergency, ask the staff at the airport. Our medical office is located in the public area.

Smokers

Transylvania Airport is a smoke-free airport, in line with Romanian law on smoking in enclosed public spaces. Smoking is permitted only in the designated areas outside the terminal building. Passengers are not permitted to use electronic cigarettes within our premises. Please respect the signs, otherwise violators will endure the rigors of the law.

Luggage

Please check if the luggage retrieved from the high lane belongs to you. For any issues and luggage related problems please contact the airline with which you have travelled as well as the Airport Transport Police “Transylvania” Tirgu-Mures If the luggage is damaged, delayed, lost or destroyed, the passenger must write and complain to the air carrier as soon as possible. In the case of damage to checked luggage, the passenger must write and complain within seven days, and in the case of delay, within 21 days; in both cases, the relevant date is the date when the luggage was placed at the passenger’s disposal.

Filming and photography

Filming and taking pictures are allowed in the public areas of the airport, while at the secured areas you need prior consent from the airport’s administration.

Located in the public area, the information desk is at your disposal for information about scheduled flights, services at the airport, etc. Please pay attention to the announcements, as they are broadcast both in Romanian and English.
